Eine neue Untersuchung hat ergeben, dass Vodka im Begriff ist, Whisky als beliebtesten alkoholischen Drink in Großbritannien abzulösen. Es ist damit zu rechnen, dass der Umsatz in den nächsten vier Jahren die Marke von 3,8 Millarden Pfund erreicht und dann mit dem Whisky gleichzieht. Das bedeutet eine Steigerung von 21% beim Vodka im Gegensatz zu einem vorhergesagten Wachstum von nur 5% beim Whisky im gleichen Zeitraum.

VODKA sales are set to outstrip whisky as a new generation of young Britons turn their backs on traditional alcoholic drinks and increasingly enjoy white spirits, a new report shows.
The study by the independent market analyst Datamonitor says vodka sales in the UK are likely to grow by 21 per cent over the next four years, to top £3.8 billion. But whisky sales are forecast to grow by just 5 per cent over the same period to reach £3.9 billion.
