Während das Weihnachtsgeschäft noch in vollem Gange ist, denkt man bei der Glengoyne Destillerie schon an den Valentinstag im Februar 2007. Bei einer speziellen „Singles Whisky Blending Session“ kann Mann oder Frau den ganz eigenen Blend herstellen und an einem Geschlechterwettbewerb im Nosing teilnehmen. Für 50,- Pfund können dabei Whisky Experten und Anfänger ihr Fachwissen erweitern. Die Teilnehmerzahl ist allerdings auf 16 begrenzt. Eine frühzeitige Anmeldung ist also ratsam.
Blending For Singles at Glengoyne Distillery
We still have a while to go until Christmas, yet Glengoyne Distillery is already planning Valentine celebrations for February 2007.
This Valentines Day Glengoyne is inviting all singles looking for love to a special Singles Whisky Blending Session.
The session, which is ideal for both whisky experts and novices, gives participants the chance to make their very own unique blended whisky, as well as pitting their skills against each other in a Battle of the Sexes Nosing competition.
The Valentines Special will cost £50 and takes place in the new state-of-the-art whisky Sample Room, where the walls are lined with whisky samples from Glengoyne casks.
The evening begins at 7pm when guests are welcomed with a wee dram before going on a guided tour of the distillery. After the tour guests will embark on the nosing and blending session. The course is then followed by a light supper served in the stylish new Club Room, giving participants the chance to get to know one another.
Only 16 places are available on this course and transport will be provided to and from Glasgow city centre.
Glengoyne Distillery, which offers an unrivalled visitor experience, is situated 30 minutes outside Glasgow, looking out over The West Highland Way.
