Die Glengoyne Destillerie hat eine neue Open Air Bar am Fuße des Wasserfalls errichtet, der das Wasser für ihren Whisky der Brennerei liefert. So können Besucher einen Dram in einer einzigartigen Umgebung geniessen. Robbie Hughes, der Distillery Manager: „Ich kann mir keinen besseren Platz für den Genuss eines Glengoyne Single Malt vorstellen, als am Fuß unserer Wasser Quelle. Der Wasserfall ist der ursprüngliche Grund für die Wahl unseres Standortes. Eine Quelle mit reinem, klarem Wasser ist eine lebensnotwendige Zutat für eine Brennerei.“ Nach ein bis zwei Gläsern für sich selbst, führt Robbie die alte Tradition des „dramming the water“ fort, eine jährliche Zeremonie, bei der ein Glass Glengoyne in den Bach gegossen wird, damit die Wasserversorgung auch im kommenden Jahr gewährleistet ist.
Glengoyne Buids New Outdoor Bar at Distillery
Glengoyne has built a new outdoor bar at the foot of the distillery waterfall, offering thousands of visitors the chance to enjoy a dram in a unique setting.
Robbie Hughes, Distillery Manager, enjoyed the first dram and toasted the waterfall.
He said: „I can think of no better place to enjoy Glengoyne Single Malt Whisky than at the foot of our water source.
„The waterfall is the original reason we are situated here. A source of pure, clean water is a vital raw ingredient for distillers.“
Robbie had one or two drams himself, then continued the ancient tradition of „dramming the water“, an annual cermony whereby a glass of Glengoyne is given to the burn to ensure a continued supply of water for the coming year.
