Für den speziell zum diesjährigen Spirit of Speyside Festival hergestellten Blend aus Malt Whiskies von 26 Speyside Destillerien waren schon viele Gebote auf ebay eingegangen. Der erzielte Preis lag schon bei ca. 1.000,- $. Allerdings gab es anscheinend ein technisches Problem, wie ein Blick auf die Angebotsseite verrät. Also bietet sich hier noch einmal die Chance für Sammler seltener Whiskies, eine Rarität zu ergattern.
Bids pour in for mega-malt whisky at start of Speyside festival
A UNIQUE whisky created from a blend of malts from 26 distilleries has sparked a bidding war among international collectors.
The special dram is the work of master distillers Ed Dodson and Jim Cryle, who between them have 82 years of experience in whisky making. They used single malts from 26 Speyside distilleries to make the one-off blend for this year’s Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.
Only a single 70cl bottle of the whisky was produced, as well as 2,000 souvenir miniatures.
The eBay auction closes today at the start of the festival and bids have reached almost $1,000, with hopes of it heading to $2,006 – or even £2,006 – to coincide with the year in which it was made…
