Das achte Spirit of Speyside Festival war sehr erfolgreich – mit über 9.000 Besuchern im Malt Whisky Centre von Glenfarclas. Die meisten Veranstaltungen der teilnehmenden Destillerien waren lange im Voraus ausgebucht. Ein Höhepunkt bei Glenfarclas war die sogenannte ‚Masterclass‘, mit einer Auswahl der ältesten Malts dieser Brennerei und einer von Marken-Repräsentant George Grant geführten Tour. Die Gäste konnten außerdem an einem Quiz mit 40 Fragen zur Destillerie und ihren berühmten Malt Whiskies teilnehmen und spezielle Flasche 40 Jahre alten Glenfarclas im Wert von 1.500 Pfund gewinnen.
Das nächste Festival findet statt vom 3. bis zum 7. Mai 2007.

With the majority of the Distillery’s events selling out weeks in advance, one of the highlights for Glenfarclas enthusiasts was the Masterclass, featuring a selection of Glenfarclas’ oldest malts and a guided tour by Brand Ambassador, George Grant. Guests also participated in a 40-question quiz on the iconic distillery and its famous malts, competing for a special bottle of 40 Years Old Glenfarclas worth £1,500.
