David „Robbo“ Robertson, einer der Gründer von “Jon, Mark and Robbo’s Easy Drinking Whisky Company” verlässt die Firma mit noch unbekanntem Ziel. Der ehemalige Master Distiller bei Macallan und die Brüder Jon und Mark Geary verpassten ihren Produkten mit Namen wie “The Smooth Sweeter One”, “The Rich Spicy One” und “The Smokey Peaty One” ein Image, das auch diejenigen anspricht, die sonst eher Bier und Wein bevorzugen. David Robertson bleibt der Marke weiterhin freundschaftlich verbunden.

David ‘Robbo’ Robertson, one of the three founders of The Easy Drinking Whisky Company, has decided to leave the company to pursue a career elsewhere.

Robbo remains completely supportive of JMR’s Easy Drinking Whisky Co brand, which will continue to hold his name and respect his role as a founder.

Commenting upon the move Robbo said:
‘The past three years and my involvement in The Easy Drinking Whisky Company have been the most enjoyable of my working life. I leave the founders and idea originators, Jon and Mark, to man the ship and wish them all the very best and feel confident that the brand will continue to go from strength to strength. For personal reasons I have decided to move on, but will always keep a keen eye on the brand’s success and look forward to tasting some of their future innovations.’

Jon and Mark commented:
‘Whilst we are sad to see Robbo move on to pastures new, we wish him the very best. We have all given a huge amount in creating the brand, had a lot of fun over the past three years, with his knowledge and expertise in creating the template ‘recipe’ for our distinctive style of whiskies hugely appreciated (plus it means we don’t have to listen to Rush on the I-Pod anymore!).’

Looking towards the future, we firmly believe that the brand still has great potential and will continue to move forwards, evolving our role in welcoming in new friends and customers to the world of whisky, providing them with great tasting, high quality spirit and doing it all in a manner that allows us all to enjoy the experience.

We’ve building upon our success in the UK with our distributors CellarTrends and are very excited by the brand’s growth in the US. All three core styles, The Rich Spicey One, The Smokey Peaty One, and The Smooth Sweeter One are performing well and we’re flattered to notice the number of followers we’re attracting.
