Duncan Taylor startet NC2 Premium Whiskies Serie

Duncan Taylor Launches NC2 Premium Whiskies Range

Award-winning whisky company Duncan Taylor, based in Huntly, has released NC2, a non-chill filtered and non-coloured range of rare, premium whiskies from Scotland’s best-known distilleries.

NC2 is an exclusive collection of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies at 46%abv, aged from 10 years and bottled by hand in its natural form in Aberdeenshire.

This new range follows on from the world-wide success of its established older brother, The DT Rare Auld range of whiskies, 21 years and over.

Launching the NC2 collection is the highly-coveted Springbank 1996 which has been left to mature in a Port cask, imparting an intense and complex flavour, warming fruity notes and a touch coastal. Very light smokiness with a long satisfying finish.

NC2 is available from this month from leading whisky merchants and is priced from £30.

Commenting on NC2, whisky writer Dave Broom commented: “The move towards ’natural‘ whiskies is to be welcomed.

“As consumers around the world become more educated, so they don’t mind if their dram goes a wee but cloudy when water is added. They know that if it does they will be getting added character.

“Whisky is about flavour. Natural whisky gives you that.. and more.“

Described by Whisky Magazine as ‘A jewel in the crown of Scottish whisky’, Duncan Taylor has one of the largest collections of rare Scottish whiskies.

The company has been awarded numerous International Wine and Spirit awards and Independent Bottlers Challenge accolades from Whisky Magazine.

Euan Shand, managing director of Duncan Taylor, commented on the launch: “Duncan Taylor has pioneered non-chill filtered, non-coloured whiskies and NC2 reflects this commitment.

“We will continue to bottle pure, premium whisky under the NC2 range and I am confident it too will become an established brand amongst connoisseurs and whisky lovers alike.”

The NC2 range is presented in an exclusive black tube, stylishly embossed with gold inscriptions and featuring the Duncan Taylor brand.

This gives the range strong visibility on-shelf and reinforces the fact that the NC2 whiskies are subjected to the same rigorous quality assessments as their older counterparts in the Duncan Taylor Rare Auld Collection.
