Schottlands kleinste Destillerie wird größer, wenn die Erweiterungspläne grünes Licht von der Perth und Kinross Verwaltung bekommen. Signatory Scotch Whisky Ltd, die Eigentümer der Edradour Destillerie, hat um die Erlaubnis zum Bau eines Lagerhauses mit angeschlossener Abfüllanlage gebeten. Die kleine Brennerei produziert 12 Fässer Whisky pro Woche. Ein neues Gebäude könnte auf einem Teil des Parkplatzes und dem unbebauten Gelände errichtet werden und Platz für Büros, Lagerräume, ein Warehouse, eine Abfüllanlage und eine Besichtigungsgallerie schaffen.
SMALLEST DISTILLERY COULD GET EXTENSION
Scotland’s smallest distillery is set to become bigger if extension plans get the green light from Perth and Kinross Council. Signatory Scotch Whisky Ltd, the owners of the Edradour Distillery, near Pitlochry, has applied to the planning authority for permission to build a bonded warehouse and bottling facility at the Highland Perthshire plant. The tiny distillery produces just 12 casks of hand-crafted whisky a week and has been named as Scotland’s smallest legal distillery. A new white rendered building could be built on part of the distillery’s car park and rough ground. It would incorporate offices, a storage area, a warehouse, a bottling area and a viewing gallery.
